Dual Breeders' Cup winner Mizdirection at Fasig-Tipton

Mizdirection.
The first time I saw Mizdirection, she was ten months old and looked like this:

Mizdirection, or '08 Deceptive as she was then known, as a yearling.
That was at Glencrest Farm in February of 2009, when the daughter of Mizzen Mast and the Clever Trick mare Deceptive was a content, plump ten-month-old filly who was spending her days and nights turned out in a field with other yearlings just being horses. Mizdirection was bred by longtime Glencrest client Joe Perrotta and sold as a Keeneland September yearling through Four Star Sales for $85,000.

Here is Mizdirection today:

She grew up nice!

In the interim, the now five-year-old mare won back-to-back runnings of the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint against colts and eight other races, with three seconds, from her 14 starts. Mizdirection has earned $1,719,621 and will go up for sale (click for her catalogue page) on Monday, November 4th -- two days after her second Breeders’ Cup triumph -- at Fasig-Tipton.

The plane carrying a load of valuable Kentucky-bound horseflesh from California arrived in Louisville on late Sunday morning. One of Mizdirection’s fellow passengers, who also like Mizdirection is in the Three Chimneys sale consignment at Fasig-Tipton, was six-year-old Grade 2 winner Authenticity, fresh off her third-place effort in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff:

Authenticity.

Another late arrival to the sales grounds -- or more like a last-gasp entry into the sale -- was a weanling filly, now catalogued as hip number 222, sired by Tapit out of Ponche de Leona (by Ponche). The Blake-Albina consigned filly is a half-sister to yesterday’s Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Mucho Macho Man:

And finally, here are some shots of Grade 1 stakes winner Joyful Victory, in the Taylor Made consignment:
